"Coffee with the Council" is planned for Saturday morning, May 12, 2012. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Central Park during the Farmer's Market. "Coffee with the Council" is an opportunity to meet during an informal session with the City Council Members, Mayor and City Administrator. These meetings are held each month on the second Saturday of the month and last for about an hour.

The Mayor and City Council members are the elected leaders of the City Government. They are elected to four-year terms with four members elected in November of even-numbered years, the next city election will be in 2012. Meetings are held 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 540 West Hills Circle.
The City Council makes all policy decisions in matters such as legislation, zoning, budgets and improvment projects. The Council hires the City Attorney and City Administrator, and confirms appointments to the City's Boards, Commissions, and Department Head positions.
