Public Hearing for 2012 Improvements

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Owatonna, Minnesota, will meet on Monday, February 6, 2012 to consider the construction of two improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429:

1.  To construct Concrete Curb & Gutter, Base Course, Concrete Surfacing and appurtenant improvements on the following described street:

• 14th Street NE from North Cedar Avenue to St. Paul Road. 

 The estimated cost of such improvement is $1,523,474.

  2.   To construct Bituminous Reconstruction and appurtenant improvements on the following described streets:

• Lemond Road SW from Selby Avenue SW to Interstate 35  
• Truman Avenue SE from 18thStreet SE to Havana Road SE
• 12th Street SE from Lincoln Avenue SE to Truman Avenue SE
• Clark Drive NW from 24th Avenue NW to 25th Avenue NW
• Lewis Drive NW from 24th Avenue NW to Cul-de-sac (north leg)

       The estimated cost of such improvement is $2,267,813.

The areas proposed to be assessed for such improvements are the properties abutting on such streets.  A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessments will be available at the hearing.  Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting.
