Public Hearing - Annex Property into the City Limits

The City of Owatonna has received a petition from the property owner, Steele County, to annex by ordinance, property located in the SW1/4 of Section 5, T107N, R20W (Owatonna Township). The property is situated on the north side of T.H.14W and generally lies between 28th Avenue NW and 32nd Avenue NW alignment. The property proposed for annexation is approximately 47.5 acres in area including adjacent T.H.14W right-of way. The petitioner wants access to city sewer and water for the construction of a highway operations complex. It is anticipated that the property will be placed in the I-1 Light Industrial Zoning District.
A public hearing of said proposed annexation will be held by and before the City Council for the City of Owatonna in the Council Chambers of the City Administration Building, 540 West Hills Circle, Owatonna, MN on Tuesday the 21st day of February, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. and any and all persons interested may be heard at said time and place.
