Brooktree Golf Course

Brooktree Golf Course summer hours are 6:30 a.m. - 9:00-9:30 p.m. daily.

Master's Bar & Grille is also now open under new ownership.  Come check out their new menu and beverage selection.

Rockin’ Around Owatonna - Explore your Owatonna Parks and you might just find an inspirational treasure!  Owatonna elementary school students have helped us kick off this project!  Head out to your Owatonna parks, and you might be lucky enough to find one of their works of art – a rock creatively painted or with an inspirational message.  If you find a painted rock you would like to keep, feel free to do so; however, you must replace it with a work of art of your own.  Click here for project details.

2017 Owatonna Free Style Series - Rescheduled to June 24 at Morehouse Skate Park. Click here for flyer. Skateboard Freestyle Park Competition: Registration from 11:00am-12:00pm (all competitors must pre-register on time), Skateboard Session starts at 12:00pm, Age Groups: 12 & Under / 13 & Up. BMX Freestyle Park Competition: Registration from 1:30-2:00pm (all competitors must pre-register on time), BMX Session starts at 2:00pm, Age Groups: 12 & Under / 13-17 / 18 & Up. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each age group!

Movies in the Park - This summer we have three family-friendly movies planned.  The movies will begin at sunset (between 7:30pm and 9:00pm depending on the day).  Details for each movie will be posted as the dates near.  Movies are free and concessions are available!  Click here for flyer.

June 16 (rain date June 17) – Trolls at Central Park
July 14 (rain date July 15 at Central Park) – The Great Outdoors at Brown Park
August 11 (rain date August 12) – People’s Choice—check out our Facebook page and vote for your choice!  Movie is at Central Park.

Farm Camp - Monday, August 7 -  For students entering grades 3, 4, 5 & 6 (limited to first 35 participants).  Cost: $10 per student, includes bus, lunch, snacks, t-shirt and a goody bag.  *Parents are required to complete a waiver for each camper – NO EXCEPTIONS!  Farm Camp is a fun, interactive learning experience giving youth a connection to agriculture and their food.  Each camper participates in breakout sessions where they get hands-on experience learning about corn, soybeans, swine, dairy, beef, poultry, farm equipment and much more!  Each camper also gets a tractor ride!  Thank you to the Steele County Corn & Soybean Growers Association for sponsoring the bus and lowering the cost to the campers!  Bus departs City Hall at 8:15a.m. and returns at 3:30p.m.  Register online or by calling the Park & Rec Office.

Calendar Photo Contest

What do you love about your Owatonna Parks and Trails? 

Submit your favorite park or trail photo for your chance to win a $25 or $10 gift card and be featured in the 2018 Owatonna Parks and Recreation calendar!  Click here for flyer.

Submit your photo by email to: Jessica.Abrahams@ci.owatonna.mn.us or mail photos to: 540 West Hills Circle, Owatonna, Attn: Jessica.  Photos must be submitted by October 13, 2017 and must include Photographer’s name and phone number.  The cover photo winner will receive a $25 Owatonna Park and Rec gift card, monthly photo winners will receive a $10 gift card and all winners will receive a free calendar.  *By submitting, you agree that you have taken the photo submitted.  Submitted photos may be used at the discretion of Owatonna Parks & Recreation, including and not limited to websites, social media, print and online publications, etc.

 

Park Pavilion Rentals

Pavilion Rentals are available one year in advance.  Call the Parks and Recreation office at 444-4321 or stop by our office to make a reservation. Payment is due at the time of the reservation.
