What is Pickleball?  Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines the elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis.  The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court.  The net is lower than most other racquet sports allowing for faster play.  The game is played with a hard paddle and a wiffle ball, making the technique required for Pickleball different than other sports.

During the Summer Months: Pickleball will be played on Mondays & Thursdays at 8:30 am at the Sid Kinyon Court by Lincoln School.  This is a safe combination of badminton, tennis and fun!  Come and see what you’ve been missing.  (weather permitting)

Table Tennis

Wedneday   12:30-2:00pm      Multi-Purpose Room (November – March)

Most seniors of any age can play the game so don’t be afraid to try it.   Players of all abilities are welcome.   Darryl Hill will give useful tips and instructions.  Wear comfortable clothing.

Table Tennis, also know as ping-pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight, hollow ball back and forth using table tennis rackets.  The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net.  Except for the initial serve, players must allow a ball played toward them only one bounce on their side of the table and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side.  Points are scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules.  Play is fast and demands quick reactions.  A skilled player can impart several varieties of spin to the ball, altering its trajectory and limiting an oppenent’s options to great advantage.
