Making Soap/Body Oils Information Meeting
- Informational: April 12, 2012 at 5:15pm and April 19, 2012 at 2:00pm
- Demonstration: May 10, 2012 at 5:15pm for Laundry Soap & May 24, 2012 at 2:00pmfor Body Oils
Bill Fasteen, SeniorPlace Member has been working with organic soaps and body oils for over 30 years. He wants to share his knowledge by offering an information meeting in April. If there is interest he will offer classes and share his recipes on Laundry, Soaps and Massage Oils, Skin Oils, Mosturizing, etc. There will be a cost for the Demonstrations and a sign up for only 10 people in each class. More information available at the Informational Meeting in April.
Custom Creation by Audrea
Audrea Horejsi, owner of "Custom Creation by Audrea" in Ellendale, MN will be visiting the SeniorPlace at 5:00pm on Wedesday, April 18, 2012 at 5:00pm, to do a presentation about her business the paper crafts classes she offers. She is hoping to obtain interest for her classes from the members adn will be discussing ideas she has and will also open the floor to ideas and suggestions from members. Please plan to attend so your thoughts and opinions can be heard.
2012 Outstanding Senior Volunteer
It's that time of year...Do you know someone that seems to always be busy volunteering in Steele County, pick up a nomination form today! The nominee must be a resident of Minnesota. He/she must attain the age of 70 by June 1, 2012. Only volunteer activities after age 65 for which there was no compensation (except for reimbursed expense) will be considered. SeniorPlace, Blooming Prairie and Ellendale Senior Dining sites and Medford City Hall Office have nomination forms.

KWIK TRIP Fundraising
There are two programs that are fundraisers through Kwik Trip.
Collecting Milk Moola caps, tops of milk bags & the oval price tag on the tops of glazed donut boxes. As a non-profit agency, it is a great opportunity for the membership and community in helping us out. we get 5 cents for each cap & top adn 10 cents for each Glazer's donut price oval collected. Please make sure you cut the whole length at the top of the bag.
Kwik Card acconts designated to our organziation. How can you participate? If you are interested in participating , stop by the local Kwik Trip/Kwik Star store for a Kwik Card application and Kwik Rewards Fund-Raising Designation post card or contact Kwik Trip, Inc. toll free (888-736-KWIK) adn put SeniorPlace as teh 'designee'.
