Construction has begun and various projects can be seen around The City of Owatonna. Please slow down and use caution when approaching a construction zone.

We thank you for your patience as these projects are completed.

2020 Construction Projects:

Street & Utility: James Bros has completed all adjustments of manhole casting and water valves on the Street & Utility project. All the bituminous patches around said manholes and valves have been completed. Crane Creek has yet to pave the final lift, this may take place next week.

Cardinal Drive Stormsewer: This project has been completed.

CIPPS: The project is about 95% completed. The contractor should return in a few weeks to complete the remaining sewer pipes.

18th Street SW (Costco Distribution Site):
Concrete paving has been completed as of Friday morning. The concrete must cure for seven days, at which time the bituminous shoulders will be placed and the ditches shaped. Followed by signing and striping. The temporary road to Kibble Supply shall remain open.

Transportation Plan: The City of Owatonna is developing a 2040 Transportation Plan, and we need your input! This plan will guide future development and transportation improvements within the City for the next 20 years. Ways to get involved and provide feedback can be found here. The Online Open House will be available August 24th through September 4th. Open house to answer questions is available on Sept. 1, 2 and 3.
